GCA Logistics is a transport and contracting company formed in September 2020. Founded on hard work, a client-focused approach and a no-nonsense “yes” mentality, GCA has a reputation for getting the job done and has grown to a fleet of over 20 trucks and a large range of machines.
GCA Logistics was formed by Charlie Allan and his father, Guy Allan.
It all began with the purchase of a sole Isuzu dropside truck and trailer to service the farming sector; carting fertiliser, posts and wool. GCA quickly carved a reputation as being highly efficient while also being easy to deal with.
In a short space of time, and with strong support from other carriers and key clients, the GCA fleet grew to include operations in forestry, general, and harvest transport along with its base in the rural sector.

Charlie Allan
Managing Director
The C in GCA. Charlie is the Managing Director of GCA Logistics Limited. Charlie handles the day to day decision making and direction of the company along with Guy.
Charlie is the man on the end of the phone, liaising with clients, chasing opportunities and organising the workflow to ensure our assets are best utilised.
Charlie loves that no two days are the same and the wide variety of work the company now undertakes. He enjoys strategy and pricing, always thinking outside-the-box to maximise efficiencies and solve problems for clients. Charlie is active in the field to ensure customer needs are met with top-quality service.

Guy Allan
Director
The G in GCA. Guy has extensive experience in trucking and contracting.
Guy leads the earthwork division of the company day to day and maintains an active focus on our forest transport operations, keeping the wheels turning 24/7 wherever possible.
Guy is journey focused, ensuring the culture at GCA is one where employees grow as people and aren’t just a number. He enjoys the wide variety of work undertaken by the company and the wide range of people we have dealings with.

Jan Clarke
Office Manager
Jan joined GCA Logistics in October 2021 and has since streamlined internal accounting processes to ensure the company operates at peak efficiency. With an extensive accountancy background, she has professionalised GCA’s operations and manages all daily accounting tasks.
Originally from a Wairarapa dairy farm, Jan began her career as a junior accountancy clerk with strong agricultural roots. After some time spent living and working in the UK, she settled in Gisborne, where she spent over 30 years at a leading local accountancy firm, as Senior Accounting Manager.
Jan brings a rare breadth of accounting experience across multiple industries, and her expertise has been instrumental in supporting GCA’s growth and ambitions.

Lewy Fleming
Operations Coordinator
Lewy has been part of the GCA team since its inception, starting as a skilled Class 5 driver within our logging division. Known for his strong work ethic and calm approach under pressure, Lewy has always been driven to maximise production in a 24-hour operation.
His growth within the company reflects GCA’s values and the opportunities we strive to provide. Lewy has since transitioned into our Fleet Dispatching role — a vital position where he manages the daily movements of our trucks across all divisions. His practical experience and respected presence have been key to his success in this role.

Josh Grant
Workshop Coordinator
Josh joined the team at the beginning of 2023 when the need for a dedicated Workshop Coordinator became clear. As a qualified Diesel Mechanic, he brings a wealth of valuable hands-on experience to the role.
After facing health challenges, Josh shifted his focus from field work to workshop coordination, using his technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to keep workshop operations running smoothly.

Olivia Allan
Business Improvement
Olivia joined the family business at the start of 2023 to support the growing administrative needs.
With a degree in Marketing and Media Studies, she has focused on strengthening our community presence and improving business systems.
Livvy oversees invoicing and docketing for our Earthworks and Contracting division, as well as developing and managing our Health and Safety systems.
As our full-time Business Improvement Analyst, Livvy is passionate about finding better ways of doing things and helping the company keep pace with growth and demand.
